Matthew P. Gorton As a CSP intern in the summer of 2001, Mr. Gorton coordinated a weekly roundtable discussion between former Presidential Appointees and thirty interns from local policy institutes. Gorton also examined the feasibility of staging a large event to take place in Washington D.C., at which college-aged interns would be exposed to young leaders in the Administration. The goal was to excite students about careers in the Federal government, and his research helped support the development of a new CSP program for interns in the Federal Executive Branch. Mr. Gorton served as a 2001-2002 Center Fellow, following
graduation from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science in
Biology. He joined CSP as a full time employee in May of 2002 and now
assists in managing the databases for the program, planning of the Fellows
activities, and both research and project initiatives. He is also currently
pursuing a Masters of Science in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University.
